Motorcycle Taxi business

Dennis serves as a social worker at the Sonrise Children’s Home in Kamuli, Uganda. But his wife and daughter live in Jinja…more than 50 km away. As an orphan himself, Dennis is very committed to helping the orphans in the Children’s Home and he has been searching for a way to provide for his family at the same time.

Faith of a Child Foundation loaned Dennis enough money to buy three motorbikes. He has hired three drivers and they’re actively buzzing around delivering parcels and passengers. Dennis was very quickly ahead of schedule, on paying back his loan.

One of the terms of this loan: There’s no interest, but Dennis gives free motorbike service to the orphanage staff. This is our way of building up a local business and helping the children at the same time.
