Computer Lab Upgrades

In August 2024, Faith of a Child Foundation doubled the size of the computer lab at Sonrise Community School in Kamuli, Uganda. The previous computer lab has been VERY successful, with government officials commenting that the Sonrise program is the best they’ve seen in the entire country. The Sonrise students have learned to write HTML code and are building their own websites. They’re also starting to build and program robots.

With ten workstations, the lab was too small to support the overwhelming demand from hundreds of students, including children and local adults. Classes often included seven people per workstation because everyone is so keen on learning. The new workstations will help everyone to receive true hands-on learning.
