No Pesticide Poisoning, please!

When we arrived in Tamarindo, El Salvador to drill a water well, we were shocked to see the poor quality of the water that the local people were drinking. The muddy pond was full of pesticides from the local sugar cane farms. We spoke to a local doctor, who told us that roughly one in ten children die from liver and kidney failure in this rural area.

We worked with a local team at Living Water International to drill a 180-foot well. The manually pumped well is a rugged design that should last for at least 30 years.

For us, this was a very simple case of simply saving the lives of poor children and sharing the Gospel with them so that they see Jesus in the “agua viva”.
